Owen Lamont - plus Glass Wings, Rory Nellis, Sonja Sleator
Owen Lamont and his band return after their debut Empire show back in Sept 2017, which left people gasping for more of this talented bunch of folk. Be prepared for wonderful harmonies and searing guitar solos once again.
Glass Wings is Belfast-based musician Stephen Jones, who since 2016 has been putting an alternative spin on classic songwriting and coming-of-age storytelling. Debut album ‘Everything and Nothing’ is due for release on 12th October 2018, with singles already having received support from sources including The Thin Air and REMY, as well as being JOE.ie’s track of the day. Known for dynamic live performances and supported by a five-piece band to bring the songs to life, this is a show not to be missed.
Rory Nellis is a Belfast based singer/songwriter/guitarist who has been writing and preforming for over 15 years in many different bands, most notably with Belfast alt-pop outfit Seven Summits.
Rory launched his first solo album, Ready For You Now, in 2015 and is currently working on his second, due for release in November. Rory’s songs stem from musings on life, death, relationships and, occasionally, politics.
Sonja Sleator has established herself as one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable singer/songwriters. With regular performances across Northern Ireland, including the Society Sessions, Sunflower Festival and Culture Night, as well as a support slot with local legend Kaz Hawkins at the EastSide Arts Festival.
With appearances on local radio and TV, her story driven songs are making her one to watch in the Belfast music scene. Not afraid to venture outside her comfort zone, Sonja has performed across the UK and Ireland, most notably in London’s On’t Sofa Sessions. Outside the UK, she has performed in Nashville, New Orleans and San Francisco, including an appearance on the famous Norm’s Rare Guitars YouTube channel. She released her debut EP, ID, in 2014.
