More Power To your Elbow are an eight piece international Celtic rock band from the Mid-Ulster area. This year the band are proud to celebrate 25 years on the road. 2017 was a very special year for them and who would have thought way back in 1992 they would still be hitting the high notes all these years later.
The band has appeared on many occasions on TV and featured on the famous Comic Relief programme on BBC from the Opera house in Belfast alongside many famous acts. Indeed one of the most treasured gigs was held on RTE in “Up For The Match” in 1995 when Dublin met Tyrone in the All-Ireland Final. They sang one of their many hits ‘Back To Tyrone”. One of the numbers on their new album is called “The GAA” and is dedicated to all those who volunteer and give their services unselfishly in support of that great organisation.
This extraordinary bunch of musicians have entertained audiences the world over with their lively energetic set of jigs, reels and songs. From France, Norway, Canada, Spain and the U S A, their unique brand of Celtic rock has enthralled thousands.
To hear this band play is an experience and one which you won’t forget
