Rachel Sermanni & The Maes

Scottish folk musician Rachel Sermanni is from Carrbridge in Strathspey. She has toured with a number of well-known folk and indie artists in the United Kingdom. Rachel Sermanni's first album was released in 2012.

Nearly four years on from Rachel Sermanni's critically-acclaimed second album, Tied To The Moon, Scottish singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni is back with her third full-length, So It Turns - due for release on August 23rd. The ten-track album is Rachel’s most ambitious yet, her self-confessed ‘folk noir’ taken to alluring and often-unexpected new heights. In support of the release.

Multi-award-winning Melbourne contemporary folk outfit, The Maes (formerly The Mae Trio) is the brainchild of sisters Maggie and Elsie Rigby.  Born into the arms of the Folk music community in Australia, both sisters were side of stage at their first folk festival when they were four weeks old and have been absorbing and exploring folk music since that time

Performing powerful original songs with superb vocal harmonies The Maes are figureheads of Australia's vibrant contemporary folk music scene. Sisters and songwriters Maggie and Elsie Rigby grew up steeped in music and have been steadily winning hearts across the globe. Their latest Nashville-recorded album Take Care Take Cover (2017) won them international critical acclaim including a 5 star review from The Australian.

The Maes present their startlingly fresh take on Australian contemporary folk music incorporating intricate instrumental arrangements on banjo, fiddle, mandolin and guitar, powerful original songs and breathtaking harmonies.
