The Cavan & Leitrim Railway was a 3 ft narrow gauge railway in the counties of Leitrim and Cavan in northwest Ireland, which ran from 1887 until 1959. Unusually for Ireland, this 3 ft narrow gauge line survived on coal traffic, from the mine at Arigna.

Fr Peyton Memorial Centre & Museum - Birthplace of Venerable Patrick Peyton Attymass in Co Mayo was selected as the Irish location for the memorial centre to commemorate his life and apostolic works.
Father Peyton Memorial Centre was officially opened and dedicated on 10th October 1998 by Bishop Thomas Flynn.
A place of respite prayer and peace the centre is a popular tourist attraction with guided tours of rare memorabilia and photographs and a DVD presentation of Venerable Patrick Peyton’s life.
