Beginning her illustrious career at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin, Derby Browne was awarded a coveted place at the Conservatory of Music where Derby Browne was provided with the opportunity to study singing, piano, harpsichord, and drama. Upon graduation her professional career began as a member of the Medieval Irish Singers performing at the world famous Bunratty Castle, Co Clare.

Pigalle is a homage to Edith Piaf by Derby Browne, ‘Pigalle’ tells the story of two girls exploring the cabaret music of Parisian cafes in pursuit of the path of Piaf.

Edith Piaf was a French singer-songwriter, cabaret performer and film actress noted as France's national chanteuse and one of the country's most widely known international stars. Edith Piaf's music was often autobiographical and Édith Piaf specialized in chanson and torch ballads about love, loss and sorrow.
